I've been rereading Total Money Makeover in order to stay focused and motivated. I'm on Babystep 2 (Pay off all debt except for mortgage). I've found a little inspiration. From TMMO:
Close your eyes and think about what it will be like when you reach this Baby Step (# 3)....When you reach this step, you have $1000 in cash and no debt except your home mortgage.
When I close my eyes and imagine what it will feel like to have a $1000 emergency fund and no debt except mortgage, I am flooded with emotion: relief, gratitude, hopefulness.
Thank you, Dave Ramsey!

We finally made it to BS3 and it does feel great! Looking forward to following your progress! :)
Hi there! I found you via the Dad at ClimbingOut.net. I loved this motivational post. My husband and I are at the tail end of BS2 and it's really easy to lose sight of "the big picture" after you've been going at it for so long. This was a great reminder. Perhaps I should get our TMM book out and re-read it for some motivation as well.

jpkittie, I think Dave would say do the BEF first, but I'm not sure what I would do.
Jennifer, you guys did it!
Danielle, thanks for stopping by.
JPKittie,
Good stuff.
BS0 - get (and stay) current on everything
BS1 - $1,000 FAST (garage sale, craigslist, working the street... :)
BS2 - Debt snowball
Does that answer your question?
Cheers!
the Dad
