Week 3 Results

Even though spending was minimal this week, my monthly totals are looking pretty sick. I think that almost all of my categories will be in the red by the end of the month (3 of them are there already!) What I spent:

Groceries $50
Restaurants $5 ($5 pizza!)
Miscellaneous $19.50 (dry cleaning)
Gasoline $26

I definitely will increase my budgeted amounts next month to reflect how much I really spend.

The groceries you're okay.
Restaurants, good. :)
Gifts: OK
House projects: Sehr gut.
School: I know this one. It is tough. I spent $25 on my daughter's supplies. Still have clothes. How am I going to fit that one???
Misc: mmm...not robbing Peter to pay Pal?

I think you've done really well! If this is your first Low Spend Plan it like a stage 1 trial at my work: you need to find your limits.

Next time you do this type of plan, you will know where you need to your limits. And the turnout will be better. Keep doing it an you should be pro.

Keep up the good work!

I think you're doing really well. This is the first month that you've kept to such a strict budget - you've almost made it to the end of the month. KUTGW!

I think the hardest part of budgeting for me was honesty, my budget wasn't honest as to how much I really spend so I kept going over every month! I finally adjusted my budget upward to reflect reality, problem solved. I am an optimist, but that doesn't help with budgets!

I think that you've zeroed in on the problem, Miss M. My budget has to honestly reflect reality!
